Content. Product. Operations.

Carren Jao is an Emmy-nominated content leader, product thinker, and award-winning children’s book author, who sits at the intersection of marketing, communications, product, and operations. She is a kind, collaborative, and dynamic leader with more than 15 years of experience of bringing ideas to life and telling stories that resonate and inspire—whether orchestrating large-scale brand activations for global giants like Unilever, shaping Emmy-winning content at PBS SoCal, or finding data-driven solutions by leveraring product thinking and AI tools at media tech company Stacker. Her work has been honored by the Academy of Television Arts & Science, the Los Angeles Press Club, the Asian American Journalists Association, and more.

Carren juggles the art of storytelling with the science of strategy. Her days are spent mixing poetry with prose and working with cross-functional teams that result in beautiful, engaging, and thought-provoking work. A fan of Gantt charts and pivot tables, she is comfortable developing data-driven content strategies that produce results throughout the marketing funnel and product roadmap.

A new immigrant to the U.S. with a Chinese and Filipino background, Carren offers a global perspective and an empathetic, nuanced understanding of diverse user bases—a vital asset for companies aiming to make a large-scale impact.
